I still had a few problems with it, I'm glad you didn't analyze it like I did, but when put to the test it doesn't hold up as a coherent well-told story, nuff said.

I really was disappointed in this movie. All the bad you all said was spot on with me. Had I not been a loooong time fan of the Character, I might have forgiveness, but the changiing the death of Ben and having to see Toby Maguire's face was just too much.
I was creeped out by how much Bryce dallas Howard looked like what I have always pictured Gwen to look like. One thing you all seemed to miss was that they brought Gwen into the mix and basicallly did not used her as anything other than a tool.
The movie lacked the heart of the second movie.
Why the heck did Sandman all of a suddne stop fighting and tell Peter the sad tale so Pete could forgive him. Made no sense.

The Fantastic Four trailer looked awesome. Ben and Johnny exchanging powers looked so funny.

Hated Emo Spidey!!!!!!!!

Finally saw it tonight. It was good, not great but, good. I think people overthinking the movie or going in with the expectation of "This will be the greatest Spider-Man movie EVER" ...they are gonna be disappointed.

As far as the American flag scene goes. Spider-Man lives in the US so fucking deal. Furthermore the scene wasn't any longer then a second, if any shots are to be bitched about, those LONG ass crowd reaction shots....THOSE were ridiculous.

Emo spidey was great too. Conners even explained in the movie, the symbiote magnifies personality traits of the thing it's bonded to. You look back in the beginning of the movie, Pete was pretty impressed with himself, so it just stands to reason he thinks he is DA shit once the symbiote is with him.

I will agree the absence of spidey sense and the whole MJ/Harry Osborne dance was fucked up though.

I loved the podcast. Great to have Melanie finally back and give her input on the movie. We all knew Spider-ben would love it. I was surprised Chris hate on it so much. I mean it is no Hulk or Punisher. Nick, the flag scene was gay

Emo spidey sucked, the flag was fucking stupid, and the dancing was ridiculous. I am with Chris, no more spider-man movies. Bring on the age of DC movies. As far as crowd reactions, that's the only way you can get the film's family in the movies, they've been doing that shit since the original Superman movies.

I love how "deal with it" is an excuse I keep hearing, why do I have to deal with anything?
