It's a secret invasion of the About Heroes podcast! Is one of us a Skrull? Ben joins the regulars to help us figure it out. On this episode:
Episode 98 - Maybe He Really Does Love You
Not to be rude or anything, but can you just add some kind of Advertisement for Instock trades instead of saying it every Podcast? I suppose it's better than Fanboy radio advertisements though. Wow, you guys talked about GI Joe, finally! I love GI Joe. Also, more talking about my favorite anthropomorphic turtle mutants Please! :P
Great episode, guys. I'm always a fan of the slap stick, talk about whatever you guys want style. But where's Chris been?
Someone cares :*) lol. I have been in Louisiana all summer driving around all the time, which has been pretty cool and weird but annyoing also not getting books and not having much free time. I will be back on the 16th hoefully and you can expect me back on a cast asap.
PS- Thanks Ben!
And I agree it was a very good poscast, I think Melanie had the foulest mouth in this ep.
Great show as always, guys. Been listening for about a year. As far as the timeline for WWH: X-Men, it takes place during the evacuation of Manhattan. After he's done with the X-Men, he fights Iron Man.
Another great, hilarious podcast, everybody! How do you all do it? How do you keep up the hilarity? Anyway, Dan, I thought it was hilarious when Omar misunderstood your "squint" comment...I understood and I'm Asian! (But thanks for rephrasing it anyway.) Omar, the long suffering Omar, as always, you provide me with conniption level laughs that get me through the workday. LOL! Melanie...you think Asians are hot, huh? In that case, I'll remember not to show you a pic of me! (Omar would probably kill me if I did! LOL!) Nick, doing a great job as always...even when there are doughnuts in your mouth! Ben, I always admire the way you stick to your guns in whatever comics you like. Don't ever change. Chris, looking forward to hearing you again in the future!
Can't wait for #65!
Chris,
I don't have the foulest mouth in this episode. I didn't repeat GD 10 times in a row!
Ray 2007
Thanks for all the compliments; that was so sweet!
It's always nice to read all the comments. You guys sound very similar to us! Not to sound egotistical, but we should have an About Heroes convention or something to meet everybody!
Yes but a convention outside of KY, I mean I was born and raised here but, who the hell wants to come to KY.
I never ever join forums, write emails, leave comments, or even have an AIM account. But, I figure I have to let you guys know what I think of your podcast and website I have been listening since last April and I have to say that this is the only comicbook geek podcast I listen to.
You guys have a fantastic cast that is so well balanced. Seriously I can't stomach Fanboy radio or comic geek speak anymore. They are just bland. Dan, Omar, Chris and Melanie each one of you adds your own uniqueness to the show and when spider-ben and Nick join in everyone meshes so well together.
I figured it was time to thank you all for making me laugh so often during work and on trips. I laughed so hard one time I almost hit somebody while I was driving. It was that talk about all the supervillains drawing names out of the hat. Someone got stuck with aquaman. My God this is why I listen to you guys. Where else can I hear this goofyness and seriousness when talking about comics, figures, movies, anime, and other geek related stuff.
I to put into perspective when I listen to you guys, I really feel I am there laughing with you guys and it really feels like you make everyone a part of the crowd. Thanks again for the great work you guys do. I have spread the word to several of my friends and will keep on doing so. Oh and the instock trades ads aren't bad at all, so please don't ever sell out. We all have to pay bills.
If you all held an "About Heroes" convention, I'd love to come! I'm from the South myself, so it would be nice to be back in that neck of the woods. By the way, great discussion about epic toy sets. You're all probably too young to have had one of these, but I was lucky enough to have had the Star Wars "Death Star" playset, complete with destroyed laser cannon, missing bridge, elevator and the working trash compactor! Can't begin to remember how many hours I spent recreating Episode 4. Thanks for bringing back the memories.
Hell, I'd come if there was some kind of convention going on, that way there was something to do besides to say "Hi".
