It's a secret invasion of the About Heroes podcast! Is one of us a Skrull? Ben joins the regulars to help us figure it out. On this episode:
Episode 98 - Maybe He Really Does Love You
I thought Ben was going to say something about Mr. Ringo? Anyways, the sound was alittle messed up, but atleast you guys are trying :P Great Episode none the less!
That was definatly the best segway into DCB servics and In Stock Trades yet! I liked how at the very last milisecond of the podcast, Chris was in the middle of saying Skrull (welcome back, by the way).
Always cool when Spider-Ben joins. good episode as always!
Spidey--
I was driving home after the podcast and remembered that we were going to have him mention that, any earlier and we might have spliced it in, but we all forgot, luckily Ben posted and then added on to the post the details of Ringo's death and his feelings so his voice is still out there.
Hero 004--
Thanks! Yes I was in the middle of saying Skrull, glad you caught it.
yup. I always wonder why you guys limit your episodes to an hour? Can't you start making them alonger? :D Everybody seems to have alot to say.
This episode is a good example of Omar trying to make the episode longer, and I agree.
I think the hour episodes are fine. They make for a great lunch hour. Can't get too much of a good thing anyway. The audio sounds improved by the way. I think there is a little skrull in all of us.
We're testing out some new techniques with the audio; where we normally use Audio Hijack Pro for recording and Audacity for processing, this time I ran both through GarageBand.
While I think an hour is where we're going to continue to aim for, time-wise, we may look at recording multiple episodes for a week (recorded back-to-back) when we've got a lot to talk about.
Yay!
I don't know.... Doing them back to back. I'm looking at the cartoon from last week and trying to figure the logistics of that.
Could Melanie stay awake that long? Does she have two "stay geeky"s in her per night? What would you call that? Multiple dorkgasms?
And I wouldn't want Chris to overload on The Goon too much in one night.
As for Dan and Omar, I can't think of any jokes right now based on the cartoon. Somebody help me out here. lol.
The only thing I can think of is if Omar rants against Pat Lee any worse as the night goes on, he's likely to end up with a restraining order against him. And if Dan regresses any worse as the night goes on, he'll end up back in Spidey jammies with the footsies, and I don't think his wife would find that very cool.
The audio quality sounded fine, although the volume level on my end sounded a little softer than normal at times, even with my volume turned up. But for all I know, everyone might have been at various distances from the microphone.
"Multiple dorkgasms"! LOL! That's good, Jeff. Actually, based on the drawing, I'm just afraid that if it goes any further, Dan's going to pull up to a house on Halloween AS an actual red/blue 18-wheeler, saying over and over to the nearest trick-or-treater, "One shall stand, one shall fall"...
Omar looks like he's going to bite the microphone in half any second, while muttering..."Frank Cho...titties...bigger..."
Multiple podcasts in a week, back-to-back? I'll drink to that.
Oh, and that whole "she my mother, she's my sister" movie quote can also be traced to Sylvester Stallone's half-ass attempt at comedy in the 90s. I mean of course the movie "Oscar", not "Judge Dredd".
I AM THE LAW!!!
Sorry...the quote had to be used.
