My prediction for the Astonishing X-Men one-shot.

Kitty Pryde dies while phasing the planet sized bullet through the Earth and into the sun.

mark my words, sinister is back, xavier's only in a coma, and mystique is still all...mystiquey.

Keith said:

If Kitty bites the dust, I am going to be pissed. She's the only damn reason I am reading Astonishing. Her and Colossus. I don't care what anyone says, Astonishing is not as good as what everyone claims and it can't even come out on time.

Tim said:

I don't know what book Keith is readin, but Astonishing is the best x-men book in years. I'm with Melanie and I hate Messiah Complex. It really surprises me to hear that Omar and Dan like it as much as they do. By the way, I haven't seen Ms. Pryde since the Messiah Complex started.

Chris said:

I love Astonishing and Messiah Complex...Callisto doesn't have tenticals...so there.

Jeremiah said:

I thought Messiah Complex had a weak ending and lasted too long. Although I agree with Dan and Omar with the fact it was nice to read a weekly X-book again. Astonishing is on another plane of existense where good stories are still being told. Not every issue is gold, but good golly even the lamest issue outshines 95% of comics written these days. Whedon will be missed, because I have no faith in Ellis writing a good X-book. Is anybody going to miss New X-men, I think I heard a couple of you guys talk about that book last week, but I'm wondering if any listeners will miss it as much as I will.

Keith said:

Messiah was a bit of a slow start for me but about half way into it I couldn't wait for the next issue. But even before then I would take an issue of Uncanny or New X-men over Astonishing any day of the week. And that's not because I didn't have a choice thanks to delays. They are just much better.
